Introduction

The two-year fellowship program in Emergency Health Services Research with the Oregon Health & Science University Center for Policy and Research in Emergency Medicine (CPR-EM) combines health services research, didactic studies in research methods and biostatistics, and clinical emergency medicine. Fellows select research projects tailored to their individual interests within the broad range of health services research, with a focus on access to care, quality of care, or cost of care. Depending on interests and previous background, fellows will have the option of completing a Master of Public Health degree or a research certificate associated with the NIH-sponsored K-30 OHSU Human Investigations Program." Applicants who already hold a research credential may take other courses to expand on their research skills and content expertise.

Fellows will hold faculty appointments in the Oregon Health & Science University Department of Emergency Medicine. Full benefits, a competitive salary, travel funds, and tuition support are included. Candidates must be board-prepared or board-certified in emergency medicine. They should have a demonstrated interest in health services research and a commitment to a career in academic emergency medicine.
